The title says everything, the sickness debuff will not not go away if you are offline, that's all

It continues to countdown on retail-wow (Shadowlands). I don't know exactly when it was updated, but in Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5), it only countdowns when the character is logged into the game world. Comments from this era on wowhead.com confirm this.

This is possibly one of the more idiotic things Blizz decided on. I can't count how many time I've been force to just sit and do absolutely nothing waiting for this damn thing to go away while I could spend the 10 mins doing anything thing else on another toon.
